Worth Fighting
One of the biggest lies to believe is that you are not worth fighting for in the long run or when the fighting gets tough. The challenges we face most time shapes us with one determining factor: "how do you perceive your life to be and are you truly worth the try." I have constantly sought validation from others that I am good enough, which leaves me sometimes crumbling when I think no one can vouch for me. This way of thinking is a constant mind and body struggle for me. At the beginning of the quarter, I told myself to fill myself with positive thoughts, but sometimes I felt the situations around me defined me.
I will never underestimate the power of having a positive mindset. I am a strong advocate because life has thrown me so many battles and made me feel incompetent. I have had to constantly remind myself that no one would speak/vouch for me more than I would. Although we are most times clouded by our self-criticism, I think it is essential to reduce the volume of self-critic and increase self-praise.
And never forget, YOU ARE WORTH IT ONLY WHEN YOU REALISE THAT YOU ARE.
